With the closure of the North American League of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™️, Kent Farrington (Wellington, Fla.) gains the essential points to qualify for the 2024 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The American rider delivered a stellar performance at this year’s 33rd edition of Live Oak International held March 14th to 17th at the beautiful grounds of Live Oak Stud, Ocala, FL.

Live Oak International represented the last opportunity for U.S. riders to secure a spot in the 2024 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final, which will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. One of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year showed once again why it has been so popular for so long with yet another successful edition. With immaculate grounds and one of the few jumping competitions on grass in the US, the weekend saw high-energy performances by riders from across the globe.

Kent Farrington, the rider based in Wellington Florida and his Mare ‘Toulayna’ took second place in the CSI4*-W  $200,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Ocala presented by Lugano Diamonds. Gaining essential points that ensured his ticket to the Saudi capital and the highly coveted 2024 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final.

“It is great that we have another fantastic venue for us to compete here in Florida on grass too which we don’t have so much. I thought my mare jumped great today but unfortunately, we didn’t come away with the win today. But the entire weekend has been great and it’s always a pleasure to come and compete here at Live Oak International.” – Kent Farrington.

World-renowned as one of the finest show jumpers in the sport today, the Olympic silver medalist Farrington narrowly missed out on the top spot to Irishman Daniel Coyle and his Gelding ‘Incredible’. In what was a fantastic display of horsemanship across the competition, the chance to win highly coveted points and potentially qualification to the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final truly brought out the best in all riders throughout the weekend.

Now, from April 16th to the 20th,  the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center will transform into a global hub for equestrian excellence, welcoming some of the most distinguished riders in the world, including Farrington, who will have to fight for the esteemed World Cup Champion title.
