History unfolds across the pages of Marion County’s rich landscape with the 25th anniversary of the Live Oak International Combined Driving and Show Jumping equestrian event.
Set for Feb. 25-28, the event attracts the world’s top riders, drivers, trainers and coaches and represents the premier Combined Driving event in the country.
This year’s event marks a profound and unique point for Live Oak International, noted in the equine industry for hosting the finest Combined Driving competitions. Entering its 25th year, Live Oak International’s Combined Driving competition has grown from humble beginnings to becoming the industry standard for world-class equine events.
Show Jumping became part of Live Oak International’s Driving Tournament in 2012, drawing 35 riders from 16 countries. For the first time, Live Oak International held an international Jumping event and Driving event on a world-class horse farm on the same weekend.
Tens of thousands of people attended the events, including the Live Oak International Grand Prix. This year the Live Oak International Grand Prix is a qualifying event for the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League.
Combining the two disciplines puts Live Oak International in a unique category and elevates the event for both equine professionals and novices.
The beautiful 5,000-acre Live Oak Plantation provides the ideal setting for these events. The thoroughbred breeding farm has led the industry for more than 40 years by serving as a prime location for breeding, foaling, training and racing.
