At most sporting events, the tailgating is far from the actual competition. But when you’re tailgating at Live Oak International, you can watch the action from your bird’s eye, edge-of-the-hazard tailgating spot!
Sign up for the inaugural Tailgate Competition at the 2018 Live Oak International, sponsored by Ocala Magazine, and show us what your southern hospitality is made of! We’re looking for themes, decorations and special food and drinks recipes. When you reserve a tailgate spot you are automatically eligible to enter the tailgate competition – and it’s free! Tailgates are judged by a panel of local personalities. The winning tailgate will receive a prize (and bragging rights).
To enter, send your name, contact information, and tailgate spot number to Meghan@liveoakinternational.com by 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018.
A limited number of tailgating locations are available at each of the seven obstacles during the marathon portion of the event on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Reserve a spot where you and your friends can get a clear view of the horses and carriages as they speed through the complicated maze of fences or splash through the water hazards. Act quickly, because the best spots go fast!
You can choose from spots at the following obstacles:
- The Ariat
- The CBC National Bank Water – SOLD OUT
- The Gulch
- The Palm Chev Fountain
- The Stella Stampede Tower
- The Shepherd Kaplan Bull Market
- The Great American Eagle’s Nest
Each tailgating spot at The Gulch are $300 each and spots at the other obstacles are $250 per spot.
We will reserve a 12’-by-12’ spot for you with payment in full. The spot comes with one (1) vehicle pass and six (6) general admission tickets for Saturday only.
You can set up your own unbranded tent for tailgating Live Oak International, or we can do it for you for an extra $300. Each spot can accommodate a maximum 10’-by-10’ tent. Tents must be set up on March 15 before 4:30 p.m. or March 16, before 4 p.m. during the Combined Driving event.
On March 17, your vehicle must be in place by 7:30 a.m.
Passes are e-mailed upon payment is received. Please save these in a safe place as they can not be re-sent.
Spots are assigned on a first-come, first-paid basis. Consideration is given to tailgaters from previous years.
