Are you the host or hostess with the “mostest”? Prove it!
Enter the Tailgating Competition, presented by Ocala Magazine, and show off your version of southern hospitality.
When you reserve a tailgate spot you are automatically eligible to enter the tailgate competition – and it’s free! Tailgates are judged by a panel of local personalities. The winning tailgate will receive a prize (and bragging rights).
To enter the competition, send your name, contact information, and tailgate spot number to Meghan@liveoakinternational.com by 5pm on Thursday, March 7, 2019.
At most sporting events, the tailgating is far from the actual competition. But when you’re tailgating at Live Oak International, you can watch the action from your bird’s eye, edge-of-the-hazard tailgating spot!
A limited number of tailgating locations are available at each of the seven obstacles during the marathon portion of the event on Saturday, March 9, 2019. Reserve a spot where you and your friends can get a clear view of the horses and carriages as they speed through the complicated maze of fences or splash through the water hazards. Act quickly, because the best spots go fast!
You can choose from spots at the following obstacles:
- The Ariat International Maze
- The Maui Jim Gulch
- The Fountain
- The Stella Stampede Tower
- The Shepherd Kaplan Krochuck Bull Market
- The Great American Eagle’s Nest
Each tailgating spot at The Gulch is $300 each. Spots at the other obstacles are $250 per spot.
We will reserve a 12’-by-12’ spot for you with payment in full. The spot comes with one (1) vehicle pass and six (6) general admission tickets for Saturday only.
You can set up your own unbranded tent for tailgating Live Oak International. Each spot can accommodate a maximum 10’-by-10’ tent. Tents must be set up on March 7 before 4:30 p.m. or March 8, before 4 p.m. during the Combined Driving event.
On March 9, your vehicle must be in place by 7:30 a.m.
Passes are e-mailed upon payment is received. Please save these in a safe place as they can not be re-sent.
Spots are assigned on a first-come, first-paid basis. Consideration is given to tailgaters from previous years.
