Ocala, Fla. (March 8, 2020) –Live Oak International was home to an exciting and talented field where Daniel Coyle took home the victory in the $100,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Ocala competing last in a very exciting jump off. Daniel had the crowd on their feet crossing the timers faster than the rest with a winning time of 37.05.

Of the 32 starters, eight made it to the jump-off over the course designed by Olaf Peterson, Jr. The exciting jump-off thrilled the crowd of nearly 5,000 spectators which brought to total for this year’s Live Oak International to a record 15,000.

Riding Farrel, a 10-year-old gelding owned by Ariel Grange, with the win today, Daniel has qualified for the 2020 Longines FEI World Cup™ Final in Las Vegas.

“Everything was going great until that little slip around the last turn. I thought have I lost it and I was wondering if I was still able to catch the girls. Both Margie and Adrienne have fantastic horses and are fantastic riders” said Daniel Coyle. “Our plan was to go to come to Live Oak International with the hopes of qualifying for the Final and this win has done that for us.”

Taking second place being just off the jump off leader time with a time of 37.37 was Margie Engle aboard Dicas. “I didn’t watch many go before me and I went as quickly as I could. I got a little stuck in the first turn, so I just tried to make up as much time as possible. For a big horse he tries to go fast, and I was very pleased with him” said Margie.

Adrienne Sternlicht finished in third again today, this time aboard her beloved Cristalline. “It’s been a year and half since Cristalline jumped grand prix of this size, The World Equestrian Games (in 2018) was the last time. The two of us have some reacquainting to do in the ring” said Adrienne. “There are little things that I can finesse in the jump off and I was a bit conservative coming back on the last line.”

Adrienne also finished third in Saturday’s $36,600 Live Oak International CSI3* Longines World Ranking Class.

In addition to Sunday’s results, there were specialty awards presented to the leading competitors throughout the weekend.

The first presented was the $10,000 Netjets Inc. Leading Rider Award presented to Andre Thieme for posting consistent results in all four jumping competitions.

The $5,000 Jerry Parks Insurance Group Leading U25 Rider Award was presented to Chloe D. Reid as the U25 rider who accumulated the highest number of points over the three days of show jumping competition.

Finally, Vanessa Mannix received the Live Oak International Leading Owner Award for the top placings for her rides and as well as Conor Swail’s ride on GK Coco Chanel.
